Rates & Airtime Plans

SATTRANS offers flexible Inmarsat BGAN airtime rates and plans suiting various usage needs and budgets. PREPAID plans allow users to prepay usage of basic data and voice services and avoid minimum contract duration requirements. The more you prepay for the services, the less your cost is per megabyte or minute of voice conversation. POSTPAID PLANS are better suited for corporate users who like the convenience of using all BGAN features and being billed on a monthly basis.

BGAN MONTHLY PREPAID PLAN

Our most popular prepaid option is the Monthly Prepaid plan:

• Low start up cost (activation fee – $45)
• No minimum duration requirement
• Only basic data and voice services are enabled
• Refill with small prepaid increments of 5, 10 or 20 MB
• Built-in balance control application
• Low monthly fee of $44
• Voice calls are charged separately and billed with the monthly fee

BGAN ANNUAL PREPAID BUNDLES

The Annual Prepaid Bundle plans offer BGAN subscribers more flexibility and service options.

• All BGAN services, including ISDN, SMS and Streaming are enabled
• Suitable for various usage needs
• No activation or monthly fees
• 12 months validity, vouchers are not extendable
• Out-Of-Bundle and additional services are billed separately

BGAN POSTPAID (MONTHLY) PLANS

• All BGAN services, including ISDN, SMS and Streaming are enabled
• Low start up cost (activation fee – $45, waived for VIP and Elite)
• Minimum duration requirement
• Suitable for various usage needs
• Monthly billing (monthly fees, Out-Of-Bundle and additional services)

SOME TERMS & CONDITIONS:

• In all BGAN plans, included voice minutes are valid to landline and mobile phones only
• Rates per MB or minute in bundles are given for indication only. Some plans include both data and voice allowances, so the real rate per MB or minute is much lower when both services are used.
• Unused data and voice monthly allowances in postpaid plans expire each month and do not roll over to the next month. VIP and Elite postpaid subscribers can choose to roll over their allowances or use them at any time, provided monthly fees for the entire minimum duration period are prepaid at the time of activation
• Voice, ISDN & Streaming Data services are billed in 15 sec increments with 30 sec minimum
• Basic Data (Background IP) services are billed in 50 KB increments
• The Basic Data service (also known as Background IP mode or BIP) is a shared and contended bandwidth of 492 Kbps allowing different services, such as voice calls and data transfer to be used simultaneously. Data transfer rates are not guaranteed in BIP. The use of BIP is charged per megabyte of information sent or received. This allows you to stay connected for long periods of time without running up a large bill
• Streaming Data mode is a high level IP Quality of Service (QoS) available over a 3G satellite network. It offers a regular schedule of capacity over the IP link to an individual user. Streaming is available on demand at four different rates and charged by time in session
• To ensure uninterrupted service, SATTRANS retains the right to require any BGAN subscriber (except for RBGAN prepaid users) to provide a valid and active credit or debit card for billing purposes. SATTRANS may right to suspend or terminate the service due to security or fraud concerns
