As of July 9, 2005 the Inmarsat R-BGAN service switches to the new, more robust Inmarsat-4 satellite. Such applications as Web browsing, email, virtual private networks, etc. have become more accessible for the customer since the coverage area has increased significantly! ATTENTION! SATTRANS Indoor Repeater Rocks at Thuraya?s 2004 Service Provider Forum!

For the second straight year it was the SATTRANS RT-1 Indoor Repeater that provided Thuraya satellite coverage inside the venue of Thuraya?s SPF-2004 in Dubai, UAE. Hundreds of Forum?s participants were able to use their Thuraya handsets in an indoor area of several hundred square meters.

Just minutes after a repeater from another company failed the SATTRANS RT-1 was up and running. Everybody was pleasantly impressed with its small dimensions and weight, plug-n-play operation mode and reliability of the signal.

As a result, the SATTRANS RT-1 Repeater attracted tons of interest from Thuraya officials and service providers, and several order inquiries have been made during the Forum. We look forward to a formal endorsement of our repeater by Thuraya, which should let us make it even better and more available to SPs in the entire Thuraya footprint.
